Pitch Technologies has announced the public release of Pitch pRTI 6, the sixth generation of its High Level Architecture (HLA)-compliant Runtime Infrastructure (RTI). The new version introduces official support for IEEE 1516-2025 (HLA 4), offering improvements to performance, compatibility, and usability for distributed simulation environments.
Pitch pRTI is a multiplatform software component that supports Windows, Linux, and macOS. It enables communication between simulators through RTI services like data exchange, synchronization, and federation management. Version 6 introduces a redesigned interface, enhanced performance through HLA 4 implementation, and refined internal communication protocols.
New features include support for federate authorization mechanisms and a standardized Federate Protocol that allows simulators to access RTI services remotely. This offers resilience in unstable networks, improved security with encrypted connections, and language flexibility by enabling federates to be built in any programming language.
Pitch pRTI 6 officially supports IEEE 1516-2025 (HLA 4), making it future-ready while maintaining backward compatibility, the company stated. Other enhancements include TLS support for secure connections, plugin-based credential systems, and real-time federation monitoring.
Pitch Technologies describes pRTI 6 as a significant step forward in interoperability, offering simulation professionals more control, security, and efficiency across defense, research, and aerospace applications.
