The DiSTI Corporation has received a five-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract to provide complex media and computer-based training (CBT) solutions for the Naval Aviation Enterprise (NAE). The award supports the Small Business Administration’s goals under the SBIR Phase III program to integrate innovative technologies into the market.
Under the contract, DiSTI will design, develop, and implement advanced media solutions, including Interactive Multimedia Instruction (IMI), PC-based simulations, desktop trainers, and Extended Reality (XR) applications. The program also includes the creation of interactive 2D and 3D models, instructional videos, conceptual animations, and serious gaming environments tailored to naval aviation requirements.
“Our VE Studio platform will play a central role in enabling the rapid, scalable, and cost-effective development of training systems that prepare warfighters for mission success," said John Hayward, CEO of DiSTI.
The contract will support life-cycle development, production, and modernization of training solutions for Navy pilots, aircrew, and aviation maintenance personnel. It also extends to Carrier Strike Groups, international programs, and other Department of Defense agencies that require advanced training systems. By leveraging VE Studio, the Navy and Marine Corps are expected to experience faster delivery of complex training, lower development costs, and greater flexibility to modernize training as operational requirements evolve.
This IDIQ award positions DiSTI to continue providing computer-based and immersive training solutions that enhance readiness across multiple naval aviation communities.
