3D perception has completed the first operational deployment of WarpCore, its real-time warp and blend software for multi-projector visual systems, in a G5 Offshore Crane Simulator in Oslo.
The simulator was delivered to Kompetansebedriften AS, with 3D perception acting as a sub-supplier to Eggshell AS, which designed and built the complete projection system.
The simulator features a visualization setup centered around WarpCore, for zero-latency, high-precision warp & blend processing. WarpCore is integrated with 3D perception's nControl software, enabling auto-calibration, geometric alignment, uniformity adjustment, scenario control, and test-pattern generation. The setup merges 11 laser LCD projectors into a single, geometrically correct image across a 5.0-meter diameter Eggshell spherical screen.
"The Eggshell screens are produced using a highly automated and efficient process that can be tailored for any diameter and field of view a customer needs," said Jonas Hahn, CEO at Eggshell. "This streamlined manufacturing process also speeds up installation by eliminating the need for plastering before coating, thus saving a lot of installation time on-site. The Eggshell screens are shipped as flat packed pentagons and hexagons."
The system has been operational since January 2026. 3D perception is showcasing WarpCore at ITEC 2026, April 14–16 in London, booth K45.
