Oil India Limited has partnered with UK-based 3t Drilling Systems to enhance drilling safety and workforce skills using advanced simulator technology. Under the agreement, 3t will deliver its DrillSIM:5000 Classic and Cyber simulators to Oil India’s operations in Assam. The simulators are designed to replicate real-world drilling scenarios, enabling employees to build skills in well control, equipment handling, and emergency response.

Delivery is scheduled for the third quarter of 2025 through 3t’s local partner, Siam Services India. The contract includes a five-year support agreement and aims to support Oil India’s operational safety and efficiency goals.

The DrillSIM:5000 Classic provides rig floor training with 3D graphics, while the Cyber model offers joystick-controlled simulations of modern rig environments.

3t previously provided simulation technology to other regional operators, including Petronas, and sees this deal as part of its continued expansion in South Asia.
