Campbell University’s College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences Physician Assistant program hosted its annual mass casualty simulation at Smith Hall on June 21. The scenario involved a vehicle striking a crowd, creating multiple injuries and prompting a large-scale emergency response. Over 100 students, faculty, staff, and community partners participated in this training exercise.
The event featured stations for field triage, emergency room care, and critical care transport. Instructors from the Joint Special Operations Medical Training Center at Fort Liberty shared military expertise, advanced moulage, trauma equipment, and tactical medical training. Cape Fear Valley Health supported the simulation with its LifeLink Critical Care Truck and crew.
Led by PA students with faculty, fire department, and county emergency services support, the exercise aimed to develop teamwork and decision-making under pressure in real-world emergency scenarios.
