World Civil Aviation Training Community 2018 Awards

Rosen Shingle Creek, Orlando, Florida

17th April 2018

Voting Deadline 28th March 2018

The global simulation and training community goes largely unnoticed in the economies and industries it serves. Yet as technological change accelerates and training needs increase due to demographic factors and industry expansion, the importance of the Simulation and Training sector simply cannot be overstated.  It is essential to the performance and safety of all high technology and industrial operations and thus underpins the health of both national and international economies. The global airline training sector has long led the effort to obtain optimum human performance from the innovative application of training and simulation technologies, and as a result has been pivotal in enabling an extraordinarily safe air transportation industry.

The Journal for Civil Aviation Training (CAT) awards scheme has been instituted to record, promote and strengthen the profile of both the airline training industry itself as well as its enormously talented workforce.

The CAT Awards recognize those whose contributions, often occurring over decades, and sometimes without commensurate reward or recognition, have significantly advanced the simulation and training community and thus directly contributed to airline safety and operations.

The nominees for the 2018 awards, as selected from the many worthy personalities that the global airline training industry has produced, can be found in the link below. Please take this opportunity to select the candidate that you believe deserves to be recognized at the upcoming World Aviation Training Summit (WATS) in Orlando, Florida.
