Colin Rydon has been announced as the new Director of Training for the Airline Training business unit of L3 Commercial Training Solutions (L3 CTS).
In his new role, Rydon will be in charge of the company's airline training team, focusing on the global growth of L3's airline training solutions business.
Rydon joins L3 CTS from Flybe, where he served as Director of Flight Operations and worked with L3 CTS as a "valued customer," according to VP Airline Training, Robert Glover-Faure. Prior to that, he occupied roles senior management positions at Jetstar, easyJet and British Airways, where he began as a cadet pilot and rose to Flight Training Manager on the B747-400 fleet.
With a career spanning 27 years, Rydon has over 10,000 hours of flying experience on a range of aircraft, across which he has been qualified as a Type Rating Instructor, Examiner and Senior Examiner. He has also held UK/EASA, Singapore and Hong Kong Air Transport Pilot Licenses.
