Babcock International Group and Skyral have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to launch a strategic partnership aimed at enhancing the British Army’s Equipment Support through advanced modelling and simulation (M&S) capabilities.

The collaboration combines Babcock’s expertise in defence support and engineering with Skyral’s digital twin and agent-based simulation technologies. Together, they will develop tools to test and adapt sustainment strategies across peace, crisis, and combat scenarios.

Central to the partnership is a Supply Chain Planning Tool that allows users to simulate readiness, sustainment, and regeneration under realistic conditions, including potential disruptor events such as supply loss, route denial, or combat attrition. Integrated with Babcock’s METIS system, the tool will help identify bottlenecks, optimize force availability, and maintain agile planning under evolving operational threats.

Kate Robinson, Managing Director, Through Life Equipment Support at Babcock, said: “ By combining Babcock’s deep understanding of defence support services with Skyral’s advanced simulation technology, we’re delivering tools that will enhance the enterprise’s ability to plan, execute and sustain complex military operations.”

Skyral has delivered defence modelling and simulation services for UK, US, and NATO partners since 2016.
