Looking Glass has launched the Looking Glass 27”, a new light field display offering 5k resolution and 16 inches of virtual depth without requiring headsets or glasses. The display supports up to 100 simultaneous perspectives within a 53° view cone, enabling shared 3D experiences across applications like education, biotech, and retail.
The slim device can run directly from an iPad, which cuts system costs by around 35% over previous models. Developers can build content in Unity, deploy to iPads, and integrate with WebXR and other 3D pipelines.
Pre-orders are available until April 30, 2025. Shipments for the new 27” model are expected to begin in June 2025.
