Police forces across England and Wales can now issue the TASER 10 to officers following Home Office authorization. The new device, developed by Axon, extends the operational range to 45 feet—nearly double that of earlier models—and enables the deployment of up to ten probes individually. These improvements aim to increase officer control and safety in rapidly evolving or high-risk situations.

The College of Policing has updated its training guidance to ensure appropriate and accountable use of the device. Alongside this rollout, Axon is introducing a virtual reality training platform, allowing officers to rehearse TASER 10 scenarios in lifelike environments. The technology integrates with existing policing systems, automatically activating body-worn cameras and logging deployment data for transparency.
